Do You Have Crashed Apps On Your Android? Here’s How To Fix it

If you have crashed apps on your android then don’t worry because you can fix it.

As soon as you open Google Play, you gain instant access to thousands of applications. Some of them may set you back a penny or two, however, most of them are free. You can try a new app for some mundane task you would like to carry out of simply for entertainment on a daily basis. However, the experience of using these apps isn’t always a smooth one.

Why do apps crush?

Before diving into the solutions to a Google app not working, it is important to first understand the cause of the app freezing and crashing. Sometimes, an app simply becomes unresponsive or crashes entirely, because you haven’t updated it. If the app uses the internet, then a weak internet connection or the lack of an internet connection may cause it to perform poorly.

1.How to fix it?

Because there are many reasons why an app can freeze or crash, there are also many ways you can fix the problem.

2.Getting a Good Internet Connection

Sometimes a poor internet connection can contribute to the freezing or crashing of an app. This is usually because the app has been badly coded so that it can only perform at the optimal level when the internet connection is stable. So, for example, if your phone is connected to the WiFi at your office or home, then the app works like a charm.

However, when you switch WiFi off and switch to a 3G or 4G connection, the app begins to behave badly. A good step here is to close the application when you want to switch your network connection. That goes a long way in preventing the freezing or crashing of the app.

3.Clearing Your Cache and Data

No matter how many apps you have on your phone, there are those you tend to use more than others. These are your favorite apps, and they bear the brunt of your usage. As you use these apps, the cache tends to get loaded, and that eventually causes the app to slow down, freeze, or crash completely. Such apps tend to be social media apps on most phones and include the likes of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and so on.

4.Force stop

Deleting the app’s cache can help the app to work like new again. Go to your phone’s settings, tap on the app manager (which can also be labeled “Manage apps” depending on what Android device you’re using), tap on the app that’s behaving badly, clear the cache, force it to stop by tapping on “Force stop”, and then head back to your home screen and relaunch the app. It should work just fine now.

5.Clear the Data

In case you’ve cleared the cash, and the app is still not working properly, a more drastic course of action that might help is to clear the data on the app. This step will make the app work but be warned that your personal configurations on the app will also be wiped out. When you relaunch the app, there will be no difference than if you had newly installed it. In case the app is a game, be prepared to lose your progress and high scores.

To clear the data from your app, head on to the phone’s settings, then apps section, then the misbehaving app, and then tap on “Clear data” and _“Force stop” i_n that order.
