M-PESA 1Tap is the quickest way to pay using MPESA. Lipa Na M-PESA Buy Goods and Services payments can be made easily and securely using a card, phone sticker, or wristband device linked to your M-PESA account. You simply tap, enter your PIN, and go with M-PESA 1Tap!
To make payments using M-PESA 1 Tap:
- The vendor enters the amount to be paid into M-PESA 1. Activate the point of sale.
- Tap the M-PESA 1 Tap tag onto the point of sale.
- To complete the transaction, enter your M-PESA PIN after receiving a pop-up message on your phone.
To obtain the M-PESA 1Tap tag (card, wristband, or sticker), go to any Safaricom Retail shop, M-PESA Agent, or Safaricom authorized dealer, where it will be linked to your M-PESA account and activated.
Considerations:
- Existing Lipa Na M-PESA charges apply to M-PESA 1 Tap.
- When making payments with M-PESA 1 Tap, you must have your phone with you because transactions will only be completed after you enter your M-PESA PIN.
- If you misplace your M-PESA 1 Tap tag, you can block it by dialling *234#, responding with 1, selecting option 4, and then selecting Block.
- To unblock, dial *234#, respond with 1, select option 4, and then select Unblock.
- To replace a lost tag, go to the nearest Safaricom Shop.
