Spotify raises prices: Will the prices hike in Kenya too?

Spotify is increasing its costs for its premium members. In several countries, popular music streaming is becoming more and more expensive. Kenyan subscribers are still safe now as the increase in prices will not affect them. However, don’t be that certain as in the future that could change.

The changes have been made primarily in European countries such as the UK and Ireland. The US is also among the countries that have been affected, as TheVerge reports. However, some regions have been involved mainly despite the change due to higher cost rates than others. You can find a precise list of the new prices below.

The new Spotify prices

In the states, changes have occurred only with the family plan. It was initially 14.99 dollars (1,615.92 Kenyan Shilling). Now it is 15.99 dollars(1,723.72 Kenyan Shilling) per month. Britain can feel the pain because the lowest plan(Student plan) was 4.99 pounds(747.55 Kenyan Shilling). Now it is 5.99 pounds(897.36 Kenyan Shilling).In the same country, still, the family shoots straight to 16.99 pounds(2,545.27 Kenyan Shilling) from 14.99 pounds(2,245.81 Kenyan Shilling). Also, the duo, which initially cost 12.99 pounds(1,944.85 Kenyan Shilling), is now 13.99 pounds(2,094.57 Kenyan Shilling). All subscribers already affected by the change will pay the old prices for another month before the changeover occurs.

The good news for Kenyan Spotify users: So far, the streaming Service hasn’t communicated any changes in this country. For now, to access Spotify services, you will have to stick with the old Spotify prices stipulated below.
