OnePlus breakdown: Don’t install Android 12

If you own a OnePlus nine or OnePlus 9 Pro, you should not install the just-released first beta version of Android 12. The new software often led to a boot loop from which the smartphones can no longer find out. OnePlus has suspended the beta program at short notice.

As it turns out, playing the beta leads to a boot loop for some users. The mobile phones start again and again without allowing regular access to the system.

The manufacturer has detected the problem and removed links to download the beta version of Android 12. Users are encouraged not to install the new beta. In the background, a solution is being worked on so that owners of a OnePlus nine and OnePlus 9 Pro can try out the latest Android version without any difficulty. However, no timetable has yet been presented.

At the moment, affected users have no choice but to reset their mobile phones to factory settings. However, since you cannot reach the corresponding setting due to the boot loop, you must access external software. The “MsmDownloadTool” of OnePlus, which is only available for Windows, can be used for this purpose. You can download the tool from XDA Developers.

Beta to Android 12 not only for Google phones

You can test the first beta for Android 12 not only on Pixel phones from Google but also on some smartphones from other manufacturers. In addition to OnePlus, other partners include Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, and a few smaller manufacturers.
