Twitter is finally making Spaces available on the web. A Twitter engineer working on Spaces first teased Twitter’s Clubhouse competitor coming to the web in late March.
A couple of months later, the company has rolled out Spaces access on its website across mobile and desktop.
Twitter Spaces Comes to the Web.
In its announcement, Twitter says that its focus with bringing Spaces on the web was to ensure the listening UI adapts to your device screen size, the ability to set reminders for scheduled Spaces, and accessibility and transcriptions support.
Another highlight of Spaces support on the Twitter web is that you can navigate around the website while being a part of an ongoing Space.
Twitter’s implementation of Spaces on the web is still rough around the edges, though. For starters, there’s no way to join a Space unless someone specifically tweets out a link to it. You also cannot join a Space as a speaker. Secondly, there’s no way to host a Space from Twitter web.
For the best Twitter Spaces experience, you should stick to the official Twitter client for iOS or Android.

Twitter has been rapidly developing Spaces and adding new features to them. The microblogging platform first launched Spaces to take on Clubhouse, which soared in popularity at the beginning of this year. However, while Clubhouse has been slow to capitalize on its popularity, Twitter has been regularly adding relevant new features to its live audio chat platform.
