Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic specs leaked

After the Galaxy Watch series, which was announced in advance this year, now, almost 12 days before the Samsung Unpacked event on August 11, the first real pictures of the Galaxy Watch4 Classic in the colors silver and black have leaked, and new information has also appeared on the display resolutions.

There was already a lot to see about the launch candidates of the summer Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11. A well-known US leaker even organized his own “Unpacked Event” on Twitter and provided 3D animations of Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic, Galaxy Buds2 and the Galaxy S21 FE, which will probably be launched later in the year.

Also, official render images in several color variants (1, 2) have already shown us the minimally changed design of the new Galaxy Watch generation, which will bring innovations with the old/new naming scheme, especially concerning the operating system. Developed together with Google from Tizen and Wear OS, Google Wear aka Wear OS 3.0 should combine the best of both worlds, such as the app variety of Wear OS with the performance and efficiency of the Samsung OS, over which Samsung has of course again put One UI as an interface.

Like the Galaxy Watch3 last year, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic again offers a rotating bezel, which can also be seen in the first “hands-on pictures” below. Also visible are the two now equally sized buttons on the right side. There should also be a white model to add to the silver and black version in 40 and 44 mm sizes. All technical details are not yet known in particular, but we expect a new Exynos W920 chip with 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of memory, IP68 and MIL-STD-810G certification.

According to the leaker Fronttron, we can expect a 450 x 450 pixels display resolution with the Watch4 Classic. With the regular Galaxy Watch4, it is 396 x 396 pixels. In addition to the feature set with ECG and SpO2 sensors are already known from last year, a BIA sensor could also be on board this year, but higher prices are to be expected.
