MacBook Pro M1X: EEC Russia Showcases two unknown Macs

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) listing reveals a succession of Mac references with a new authorization to sell in Russia. Among these references, two models were unknown to the battalion. It could be the new MacBook Pro M1X.

Once it is not custom, the registers of the EEC put us on the track of apple devices not marketed. A new listing published this August 2nd reveals many Mac models that have obtained a license to sell in Russia. If these numbers refer to existing models, for the most part, Consomac reports that two references do not correspond to any Mac or MacBook currently marketed by Apple.

As it stands, these two devices are designated by numbers A2442 and A2485 on the EEC document. If we learn that they work logically by the grace of macOS Monterey, however, no additional information appears from the Russian document.

That said, given the release context at Apple and rumours for months suggesting an imminent announcement of two new MacBook Pros under Apple Silicon processors, it is a safe bet that the two machines listed by the EEC correspond well to these new devices. Without confirming anything, the appearance of two obscure references on the EEC lists is, therefore, a rather good sign.

What we know about the upcoming MacBook Pro

Let’s say it right away, and no official information is available for these two new MacBook Pros. Only persistent and often concordant rumours tell us about their technical datasheets.

In particular, we should find a completely redesigned chassis, with flat and straight shapes inspired by the iPhone 12, and with new connectivity, busier. For example, Apple would again bet on an HDMI port, an SD player and a MagSafe magnetic charging port.
