Google stated in a blog post last week that Apple Music is now available on Google Assistant-enabled devices. Nest Audio, Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, and Nest Mini are examples of speakers and displays.
Apple Music subscribers may link their accounts in the Google Home app, which also includes Spotify, YouTube Music, Pandora, and Deezer integration.
Here’s what you’ll require.
An Apple Music subscription
A Google Nest speaker or a Google Home display
An iPhone, iPad, or Android device with a Google account linked to your Nest device and signed into the Google Home app.
Connect your Google Nest gadget to Apple Music.
- Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Activate the music player.
- Tap the Link icon next to Apple Music under “More music services.”
- Select Link Account from the drop-down menu.
- Sign in with the Apple ID you use for Apple Music and complete the setup using the onscreen instructions.
Make Apple Music your default music service.
You can make Apple Music your default music provider if you don’t want to say “on Apple Music” every time you ask Google to play something.
- Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Music.
- Select Apple Music from the drop-down menu under “Your music services.”
Unlink Apple Music from your Nest device
- Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Music.
- Tap Unlink under Apple Music. If Apple Music is configured as your default music service, change it to something else or choose “No default.” Then, under Apple Music, tap Unlink.
