Leah Wangari Gatonye Dubs who is the founder of Kilimani Mums Uncensored is dead.
They say that behind every social media account a human being is behind it, a father or mother, a child or sibling to someone else. Behind Kilimani mums uncensored was a 41-year-old woman who resided in the United States. Unfortunately, the late Leah Wangari was in a tragic road accident in South Carolina on Saturday, August 1st.
There’s a reason you’re urged not to drink and drive but this advice is sometimes taken lightly and it’s also what led to Wangari’s death. American police stated that Wangari was driving while drunk and was arrested by officers for driving under the influence and child endangerment.
Local media in the US reported:
“Wangari was involved in the crash on Red Cedar Street at around 2 pm on August 1 and was arrested by officers from Bluffton Police Department then charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment,” local media in the US reported.
We are not sure why the police decided to arrest her immediately after the accident as they first took her to jail then when they realized there was a need to rush her to the hospital she was rushed to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Emergency room and taken back to jail.
Turn of events.
The question of whether there was negligence may arise because her death escalated too fast. Leah was found coughing up blood then was rushed to the hospital but when they noted that her health was deteriorating they flew her to MUSC where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her obituary read:
“Leah has an army of friends and we understand the anxiety of everyone. However, we kindly request patience as we plan to give our dear Leah a befitting send-off. We are busy with the funeral arrangements; we will communicate details of how to support the family in these trying moments,”
