Before acceptance letters are sent, follow the steps below to learn about the university that KUCCPS has selected for the 2021/2022 intake.
After the revisions, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) completed the process of placing individuals who had applied for various courses.
Parents can begin raising school fees by checking where their children have been admitted or selected to school by following the instructions below.
NOTE: This procedure applies only to students who have been accepted into government-sponsored programs (formerly known as JAB students).
How to Use an SMS Code to Check University Placement
Using an SMS code, you can check your university placement results.
- Go to your phone’s Messages section and select Text Messages.
- Please text your index number to the number 20842.
- The placement results will be sent to you.
- The SMS will cost you cash. 20.
Via Airtel
- Go to your phone’s Messages section and select Text Messages.
- Please text your index number starting with the year to the number 20842 e.g 202012301795****
No space
No slash (/)
- The placement results will be sent to you.
- The SMS will cost you cash. 25 per SMS
How to Check Course and University admitted to online
To view the placing results online;
- Visit: http://students.kuccps.net/
- Login with your details as follows;
- Username: (Use your full Index Number)
- Year: (2019)
- Password: (Use your Birth Certificate Number)
After login, you should see the university that you have been placed as shown in the image below
The kuccps webpage will provide information about the course and university where you were placed following the second review.
Your university will send you an admission letter. Most universities, such as Moi University, University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, and Maseno University, do not issue admission letters through the mail. All you have to do now is go online and download them.
