Rubis Energy to fund more scholarships for Kenyan students.

This academic year, more students are expected to join the Rubis Energy Kenya Scholarship Fund (REKESF). The new class will join 29 other secondary school students and 16 university students who are currently recipients of the fund in secondary and university institutions across the country.

The Rubis Energy fund is available to financially needy students who have completed and passed their Primary School KCPE exams with distinction. This scholarship is only available to students who have been accepted into one of four selected National High Schools: Alliance High School, Alliance Girls School, Limuru Girls Secondary School, and Mang’u High School.

Following the completion of their secondary education, the scholarship is extended to cover university education for students who have achieved exceptional grades.

Jean-Christian Bergeron, the Rubis Energy Kenya Group Managing Director and CEO for Rubis East Africa, commented on this year’s scholarships, saying, “As a company, we recognize that our existence is part of a larger system of people (employees and community), and other organizations.” We are dedicated to being a responsible organization that adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards. Education is an important part of our culture, and we will do everything we can to ensure that we invest in the future of the communities in which we live.”

“Rubis Energy came in at a critical point to assist in funding my secondary school education,” said Stephen Nyarenchi, a former Alliance High School student. This has ensured that my ambitions to become great in the future remain intact.”
