DCI Looking For “Wash Wash” Suspects Following Viral Videos On Social Media

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is looking for four people following viral videos doing rounds on social media.

Social media has been a great help to the DCI especially for those criminals who choose to post everything and don’t think about the consequences. If you haven’t seen the infamous video of three suspects beating up one of their own for stealing their money, then you’ve been off social media.

The video shows a man with three beautiful ladies and a bunch of KSh 1,000 notes in his hands but little did he know that his happiness was short-lived.

Part of a larger illegal business?

As soon as the video was trending on all social media platforms the three men were identified and have been accused of printing the fake currency but the reason why he received a beating was that he was accused of betrayal. The man seen on the video seemed excited, drunk and had apparently promised the ladies a Coast trip.

The DCI said:

“When his accomplices learnt about his escapades, they stormed his house and descended on him mercilessly accusing him of disloyalty, betrayal and not ‘working smart,’”

The DCI further asked Kenyans to watch the videos and assist them in identifying the suspects.
