Samsung Unfolds another Novelty, flexible display to bring 3D to 2D content

Samsung has a promising future ahead when it comes to keeping up with the latest technologies. Currently, the manufacturer has just dispatched another less thin expandable screen than its first version launched four years ago. This new Screen has an increased length of 13 inches. Hence, in the long run, this type of Screen would benefit many areas, the health sector included.

A new expandable screen from Samsung

It is now time for an extendable screen after the Foldable screens. Samsung is always at its toes to keep up with the most recent technological challenges, and its R&D does not falter. The all-around performance of this new Screen can be seen in the embedded video below.

From the video, we can see an expandable screen manufactured by Samsung which outputs a 3D rendering of content previously set in 2D. To develop this tech, the South Korean firm uses OLED pixels together with extensible conductive materials. Therefore we can see a screen that elongates by 13inches.

The Screen will stretch depending on what it is being used for. If it seems at first report fall under the gadget, these advances are taken very seriously by Samsung, for example, for use in a medical setting. According to Futura Sciences, having a screen that can thus extend while maintaining stable performance would, for example, be of interest for heart readings by applying directly to the patient’s skin.

What are the chances of these screens being implemented on smartphones?

The expandable Screen might seem less tech for now, but who knows the turn of events in the future. Back in 2017, Samsung had developed a similar screen that was thinner than the 2021 edition. This means that the lot is still bright for expandables Screen primarily that Samsung thirst for advanced technologies is always known since a long time ago, Well this is the only factor that makes Samsung stand out from the rest.

Currently, Samsung’s objective is not to release such screens in its future smartphones since the firm has already dispatched the most affordable smartphone, the Galaxy Z fold 3, on our markets(the Preorder is already available in Kenya). However it remains reserved for relatively affluent exchanges. According to our source(@WCCFTech), such technology could be pretty valuable for medical analytics, and other areas such as artificial intelligence, IoT, various connected wearable devices, automobiles, etc. that would also benefit from this technology
