In case you forgot, the Ford Bronco became significantly popular after the famous police chase of 1994. The chase involved OJ Simpson – the American football (NFL) legend and actor – and his friend, who were driving in a 1993 Ford Bronco in a police pursuit that was televised all over the world for several hours. Many viewers took note of the SUV and since then, it has reserved a special place in car enthusiasts.
Ford plans to capitalize on this fame as the CEO took to Twitter to post a short teaser video of the rumored Bronco Raptor. The video provides a sneek peek of the SUV’s new grille design which resembles the Ford F 150 Raptor. The grille also has three running lights, indicating it’ll have a wide stance. The car will also sport a similar-looking “Raptor” badge as seen at the end of the teaser along with the 2022 release date. The video effectively confirms the rumors and even the design that had been leaked earlier.

There were several occasions that spy photographers took shots of the Bronco being tested. Even though the test vehicles wore thick black cladding, Ford couldn’t hide the wider fenders or raised ride height.
The CEO didn’t reveal details about what to expect under the hood, however, going by the rumor mill, we should look forward to two versions; Ford’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine or its 3.5-litre twin-turbo. To put those two engines into perspective, here’s their output on other Ford cars, the smaller engine powers the Explorer ST, producing 400 horsepower while the beefier V6 powers the F-150 Raptor, where it produces 450 hp.
