How to Increase Battery Life for iOS 15 devices

Many users who use various gadgets that run on iOS 15, an upgrade of the previous iOS 14, lament the reduced battery life of their smartphones. Every day, the story is growing to be tumultuous as more and more people keep on installing Apple’s new Operating System.

If your device has the same problems, worry no more as this guide will show you how to prevent your smartphone battery from collapsing. The First & most straightforward way is to check whether your battery Saver is activated(its purpose is to control your iPhone from automatic downloads and minimize background activity, thus preserving more battery life). How do you go about it?

  • Go to settings  icon on your iPhone
  •  pull down the blanket like panel, then click on the battery
  • select the Power-saving Mode
  • Wait for the pellet to shift to a green Color, and the mode will be activated.

Another solution that will keep your phone battery from draining is disabling your geolocation(of course, you can enable it back as you wish). To do so:

  • Click on the Settings icon
  •  Scroll down your thread again to reach the Privacy tab & click on it
  •  go to the first parameter(namely Location Service)
  •  Slide the pad from green to grey to save more battery

In addition, you may also select apps that can not access your geolocation. For example, you can disable it for your social networks but keep it for your GPS services. The disadvantage is that this does not affect the possible search for your iPhone when the Lost mode is enabled.

The last option is utilizing your smartphone while it’s in dark mode. This works by lighting your Screen display to essential pixels, thus reducing battery usage. To access dark mode:

  • Click Settings
  • Tap on  Brightness and Display
  • On the Appearance tab, click Dark mode

Lets us go to a more traditional way as opposed to the three methods optioned above. The first is to deactivate your smartphone’s background app refresh. This limits an app that is active in the background from updating & thus killing your smartphones battery life. Another critical factor that many people assume is updating your applications to the latest versions, which might have fewer effects than the active ones on your iPhone. To check apps that consume a better portion of your battery:

  • Go to Settings
  • Then Battery
  • Then analyze the usage time of each application & % of battery used by them.

The third method is to decrease the animations on your iPhone apps: To go around this:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on  Accessibility
  •  Then Animation
  •  Click on Reduce Animations

Downgrading your connection from 5G to 4G or even 3G for adaptable phones that run on suitable mobile plans won’t put you into a comma. In the long, run your smartphone will benefit from longer battery life. How do you find your way around this:

  • Go to Settings
  • select Cellular Data
  • Then Options
  • Then Voice and data
  • Choose your Preferred Connection either 4G, 3G

Automatic switching of software updates is also a good way of keeping track of your battery performance(If you do this, always make sure that you reactivate it back at some point to make sure that your smartphone is running on the latest software). Else,

  • Go to Settings
  • Then General
  • Then Software update
  • Tap on turn off Automatic Updates
  • Also, go to settings > App Store and turn off automatic app downloads.

Lastly, if all mentioned above does not work, you can reset your iPhone factory settings. But before that, Please be sure of whatever you are about to do, as factory resetting will make your smartphones lose all your data. Your can import your data to the cloud or external storage before continuing. If you are ready:

  • Go to Settings again
  • Tap on General
  • Click on  Erase content and settings
