Honda CR-V; New Renders Show the Next Generation Redesign.

One of the most popular Honda models is the CR-V. It’s also one of their best selling vehicles. Today, we bring you a rendering of its upcoming redesign.

This rendering showcases the fifth generation of the car. Honda has been driving it around with camouflage as you would expect with cars that haven’t been officially revealed. However, some eagle eyed onlookers have been able to unlock some of the hidden design features.

The CR-V looks longer than the current model, and the front and rear overhangs look extended, too. The front end is squarer with less curves, while the thin headlights are connected by a chrome strip that spans the big grille. Sleek fog lights rest on the lower grille opening.

The render shows only the front and side views of the car, the rear remains a mystery. Though you should expect an updated design, or at least some minor changes compared to the current model.

Upcoming Honda CR-V leaked interior

The underpinnings of this next Gen Honda CR-V haven’t been revealed. However, one can tell that the camouflage version being used in testing has twin exhaust pipes which points to a combustion engine being used. In other words, the CR-V will not be a full electric vehicle, at least not the version that has been spotted so far. This is not to say that you shouldn’t expect a hybrid or a full electric version to be debuted at some point in the future, actually, Honda is expected to offer an electric CR-V in the upcoming generation or the next.

Finally, this next-gen CR-V was observed having a larger footprint than the current models. This could allow Honda to offer a three-row version. Some markets already have a seven-seat variant while others – like the US- only have access to a 5 seater version.

Predictions point to Honda announcing this CR-V model next year, 2022. This could mean it will go to market as the 2023 Honda CR-V.
