Late Filipino Shoutcaster Is Honored by Valve

When you love a Dota 2 player, you want to support them in any way you can. You cheer for them when they make an effort to win a game, and you even support them on https://dotabetz.com/. Sadly, fans of one player cannot do this anymore now as Aldrin Paolo “Dunoo” Pangan passed away. Not long ago, the player passed away because of Covid-19. Valve honored him in the Dota 2 Fall 2021 update. Some of Dunoo’s iconic lines will be added to the chat wheel.

What Happened?

On August 27, Filipino shoutcaster Aldrin “Dunoo” Pangan died of Covid-19. The ones announcing his death were his teammates, who posted about the matter on their Facebook page. After that, people in the Philippines who were fans of TNC Pro, and the members of the team showed their support for the team and paid their respects to Dunoo. After all, he was one of the key figures in Dota 2. Even other Dota 2 teams started paying their respects, with one of them being Team Secret.

And they did it. They took some of his best lines and they included them in the platinum-tier chat. The lines they included are:

  • “Lakad Matataaaag! Normalin Normalin.”
  • “Easiest money of my life!”
  • “The next level play!”

The player’s lines became very popular over time, and they were one of the reasons why people loved him as a player in the scene. There were a lot of memes made as well. Furthermore, other people used the lines too, such as Gabe Newell, who used the “Lakad Matatag” line while he was giving a speech at The International 2018.
