The television set in particular was a personal donation by the Managing Director, Onkar Rai, following his exploits at the WRC Safari Rally, where he emerged as Kenya’s best driver.
Subsequently, Onkar was named the Sports Personality for the month of June with the TV a token from the sponsors in appreciation of this feat.

Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, Simpson Osiemo, the Executive Assistant to the MD, thanked the medical institution for continuously setting remarkable standards in the provision of quality healthcare services. He further reassured the hospital’s management of Menengai’s steadfast support owing to the facility’s critical role in providing medical assistance to Nakuru County and the region at large.

Osiemo spoke to the need for more specialised orthopaedic units, especially those addressing paediatric needs which are mostly overlooked. With timely interventions, research has shown that most paediatric orthopaedic cases have registered significant or full recovery among the victims.

Menengai Oil is committed to partnering with different stakeholders in the health sector to provide medical assistance to the less privileged in accordance with the government’s aspiration to provide universal health care for all. Menengai plans to support medical interventions at the local community level, which are geared towards providing affordable and timely medical assistance to those far from health facilities.
