Brayfoil Technologies, a clean-tech startup based in Johannesburg, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Katapult Ocean. Additionally, the innovative tech startup has been selected to participate in the Katapult ocean accelerator program, which will begin at the end of this year.
Brayfoil Technologies, founded in 2017, is a clean-tech startup that has developed a compliant structure as well as morphing aerofoil research and design. This has been accomplished by the tech startup by developing and applying cutting-edge technology for increased efficiency and cost reductions.
The tech startup works with research institutes and corporate clients to incorporate morphing technology into the design, testing, and manufacturing of renewable energy and other industry goods.
Brayfoil technologies, which cater to enterprises that use renewable energy systems such as wind turbines, can help them save money by using biomimicry-inspired compliant structures that “change shape like bird’s wings.” The clean-tech startup wants to make it possible to build bigger turbines and cut energy costs.
