The iMac 2022 would be eligible for several upgrades, not forgetting the Mini-LED display

Apple first used mini-LED panels with the Pro Display XDR monitor and then the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. They’ve finally made it to the MacBook Pro. What’s the next step? This display technology could be installed on iMacs in the future.

At least, this is what Ross young says, a trusted leaker whose suggestions have always come to be true in the past. Yesterday this is what he said on Twitter

A new iMac version with a Mini-LED display could be available in the first quarter of 2022. It would be combined with technology that allows for a changeable refresh rate of 24 to 120 Hz, depending on the content displayed. Other Apple devices, such as the iPhone 13 Pro and the latest MacBook Pro 14 and 16-inch models, already use this technology.

iMac Mini-LED might benefit from a slightly altered design to accommodate a 27-inch slab, which is also intriguing against 24 inches currently. Previous rumors suggested a larger screen, possibly up to 32 inches diagonally.

The Cupertino firm could choose to include its new M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs in this new iMac, along with likely additional RAM, 64 GB against only 16 GB currently is to be expected. Its price, which is currently 1,449 euros for the current 24-inch iMac, would increase. Apple stopped producing the iMac Pro a few months ago, as a reminder.
