The Sustaineer van concept not only does not harm the environment but also improves it. The secret is in the filters of small particles located on the front panel and the bottom of the electric van – they purify the air around the car, regardless of its speed.
The developers have implemented in the new concept Mercedes Sustaineer a number of solutions designed to improve the environmental situation. Mercedes-Benz noted that a set of filters can reduce the content of harmful components and debris around the car by 50%.
Green technologies to protect the environment.
The Sustaineer is also equipped with a rooftop solar kit, which extends the range. In addition, the van can be used as a battery and power devices regardless of whether it is working or not. That is, in order to work on a laptop or charge a smartphone, you will not need to turn on the machine.
Other “green” technologies implemented in the concept include:

In addition, The components of the car are also environmentally friendly: the filler is made from household waste, the cab partition is built from natural straw, and the bottom is made from recycled polypropylene and tires are used.

Safety has not been forgotten in Mercedes either. The van is equipped with a camera that monitors the condition of the road and notifies the driver about damaged parts of the surface. The car also has digital mirrors that provide a sharper field of view than in other cargo vans.
