One of Android’s best recent features is automatic dark and light mode, also known as night and day mode. What if you could change your wallpaper to match? It is possible, and we will demonstrate how.
The dark mode works slightly differently depending on the device, but it usually changes the color of the Quick Settings, Settings app, and other menus. However, even if you use light-colored wallpaper, it will be blindingly bright. Enter the “Dark Light Mode Scheduler” app.
This app’s concept is very straightforward. You select a wallpaper for light mode and another for dark mode. Whenever the mode changes, whether manually or on a schedule, the wallpaper changes as well.
- First, on your Android phone, download the free Dark Light Mode Scheduler app from the Google Play Store. To enable automatic wallpaper change, launch the app and toggle the switch at the top of the screen.
- Then, choose “Schedule” and specify how you want the wallpaper to change. You have the option of having it follow the system setting or creating a separate schedule.
- We can now select wallpapers for the home screen. To select a photo from your device, tap each “Light Mode” and “Dark Mode” image. You must give the app permission to access your device’s storage.
- After you’ve chosen the photos for the home screen, you can do the same for the lock screen. This is entirely optional.
That is all there is to it. The wallpaper will change automatically based on the system setting or the schedule you set. You can now use bright wallpapers during the day without fear of blinding yourself.
