Toyota RAV4 celebrates 25th anniversary with a new version and paint job

It’s been 25 years since Toyota launched the RAV4 in the US. To celebrate this anniversary, they are introducing a new color option, upgraded design features and best of all, a brand new cheaper hybrid version of the SUV.

2022 RAV4 SE Hybrid

Toyota already unveiled their 2022 RAV4 lineup, it included the XSE hybrid, however, as part of marking the 25th anniversary, they are unveiling the SE Hybrid which carries over the dark wheels and sporty bumper trim but with a more conservative feature set and a slightly lower price.

The SE hybrid will have two packages to choose from: Weather and Convenience. The Weather package, as the name suggests, will cater for the driver and passengers comfort in non ideal conditions. It offers heated steering wheel and heated front seats plus rain sensing wipers. The Convenience package brings a moonroof, a power-adjustable liftgate, and a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen instead of the standard 7.0 inch.

“Now in its fifth generation, the Toyota RAV4 remains the leader in its size class,” boasted Toyota, “and it has also been America’s best-selling nonpickup passenger vehicle for the past four years.”

We mentioned a new paint job has been added, it’s the Cavalry Blue paint, borrowed from the Camry. The paint won’t be exclusive to the SE hybrid, customers going for the XSE hybrid and the TRD off-road will have it as an option too.
