Egyptian edtech startup Career 180 secures $200,000 from EdVentures for expansion.

EdVentures announced a $200,000 investment in Career 180 with the goal of developing a new employment platform and merging it with the Freelance Yard to create an integrated platform that provides youths with employment and qualifying services across all job types.

Career 180 also intends to improve its career advising services and expand its programmes in order to reach a larger audience, with the goal of training one million trainees and assisting 300,000 users in finding suitable job opportunities.

Career 180 has worked to provide a variety of professional counselling services through its platform since its inception, with the goal of preparing youth for the labor market.

On its website, Career 180 offers career counseling videos as well as a variety of additional services for young people in their various specialties, such as workshops and theoretical or practical training programmes.

Career 180 provides career guidance sessions and meetings during the one-day activity to bring together youth and connect them with senior experts in various specializations and professions.

Every year, the company hosts the Egypt Career Summit, which attracts thousands of young people, multinational companies, local companies and startups, and hundreds of experts from various business sectors.  It is full of lectures, interactive panel discussions and workshops that aim to elevate career awareness and prepare more qualified highly demanded calibres.
