Huawei Matebook E announced: It is the new Surface competitor

Huawei has launched its tablet-laptop hybrid, the Matebook E, which competes directly with Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8. The new 2-in-1 tablet runs on the latest Operating system from Microsoft and comes in two versions, each with its hardware and keyboard mechanism.

Huawei hopes to persuade buyers precisely in china not to buy Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8 by offering a high-resolution OLED display and a few more features.

The touch display is 12.6 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. An Intel Core i5 or i7 of the 11th generation provides the required performance. The CPU in Huawei’s tablet-laptop hybrid is backed by 8 or 16 GB of RAM, depending on the model, as well as 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. An M-Pen is always supplied. In addition to the detachable keyboard, a sliding keyboard is also available

The battery has a capacity of 42 watt-hours and can be charged through USB-C at 65 watts. There’s Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6, as well as a headphone jack. The microphones, according to Huawei, are meant to eliminate background noise. The webcam has a resolution of 8 MP for video chats, while the back camera has a resolution of 13 MP for photographs.
