Oppo is expected to announce what it has been cooking behind the scenes in five days (December 14th). Meanwhile, the Chinese manufacturer is handling its tactics very well, from teasing us with its foldable smartphones a couple of weeks back to a video of a retractable camera module.
As witnessed on Twitter, this pop-up camera concept spends most of its time hidden within the OPPO smartphone only to emerge when it is needed. This feature is quite helpful as it assists the smartphone not to be thoroughly weakened by water splashes due to the retractable picture module.
Secondly, the feature enables the camera to detect a fall, and thus the camera hides in case of an accident. Oppo has sneaked some hints about the technical specifications of this module.
