Egyptian fintech startups invited to apply for Orange Ventures seed challenge.

Orange Ventures has launched its “Seed Challenge – Fintech Egypt,” which will provide EUR500,000 (US$570,000) in investment to one company.

Orange Ventures, the telecoms firm Orange Group’s corporate venture capital arm, opened its Orange Digital Centre in Cairo in December and has now launched a fintech seed challenge.

Seed-stage fintech companies based in Egypt that have raised less than EUR1 million (US$1.14 million) in total equity funding are welcome to apply.

The winning startup will also be invited to join the Orange Digital Centre for six months, getting access to workspace and mentoring programs, as well as the opportunity to present to Orange Egypt’s executive committee and discuss partnership opportunities.
