Creative Economy Practice at CcHUB Launches The Createch Accelerator Programme.

The CcHUB’s Creative Economy Practice has launched an open call for applications for the Createch Accelerator 1.0 Programme. The Accelerator 1.0 Programme is for founders and teams who are building businesses that combine technology and creativity.

The Createch Accelerator 1.0 program focuses on businesses that employ innovation or technology to improve value chains in African creative economies or to address market problems in these value chains.

The programme’s goal is to provide knowledge, networks, and assistance to startups working at the interface of technology and creative, allowing them to accelerate their path to profitability and access to needed institutional financing.

Selected companies will be using innovation or technology to solve the following thematic areas in any creative sector across Africa and/or globally.

  • Access to market and audiences   
  • Access to supply chains 
  • Access to market intelligence and data/insight 
  • Ecosystem and Community Development 
  • Payments and Monetisation 

In order for Startups to be considered eligible for the accelerator programme, they will need to meet the following criteria: 

- Ad-
  • They must have an already launched solution in the market with customers and revenue. 
  • A dedicated management team is a must
  • The startup is required to have an innovative solution that fits any of the identified thematic areas as above (in the Creative Economy) and is leveraging technology.
  • The startup must be headquartered/operating on the continent
