How to Flip an Image in Google Docs.

Although there is no direct option to flip images in Google Docs, you can paste your photos into the Drawing tool and then flip them horizontally or vertically.

In Google Docs, use “Drawing” to flip photos.

You will cut your photo from your document, paste it into Docs’ Drawing tool, flip the photo, and then add it back to your document using this method.

  • To begin, open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Google Docs website.
  • Select the document in which you want to flip a photo on the website.
  • Locate the image you want to flip in the document. Then, right-click on this image and select “Cut.”
  • By selecting Insert > Drawing > New from the menu bar, you can access the Docs Drawing tool.
  • Right-click anywhere on the main canvas in the “Drawing” window that appears and select “Paste” from the menu. Your picture will appear here.
  • Click Actions > Rotate in the “Drawing” window to flip this image. Then, to flip your photo horizontally, press the “Flip Horizontally” button. Click “Flip Vertically” to flip the photo vertically.

When you’re satisfied with your flipped image and want to add it back to your document, click “Save and Close” in the top-right corner of the “Drawing” window.

And your flipped image is now in your document. Enjoy!

If you need to insert a flipped image into a document from your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, use a free photo editing app like Snapseed. The flipped photos can then be added to your Docs documents.
