Instagram Is Experimenting With A Full-Screen Mode For Reels, Posts, And Stories

Instagram is developing a new feature that will remove the top stories bar and replace it with a full-screen, swipeable experience.

According to app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, this functionality will allow users to enjoy feed updates, stories, and reels in a seamless flow. A-frame bar would appear at the bottom of the screen, suggesting that you may swipe left to see the other frames. Instead, videos show a progress bar.

The feature will be updated to match TikTok’s.

This will allow them to select the “ideal” material for you depending on your reaction to that specific topic. Likes and the number of times you see a certain piece of content on TikTok help them find intriguing material that fits your profile and enhances your feed suggestion.
