Twitter Is Developing A Feature That Will Allow Users To Co-author Tweets

Twitter is developing a feature that will allow users to co-author tweets.

According to TechCrunch, Twitter has acknowledged that it is testing a new feature that allows two users to co-author tweets. Companies and influencers would be able to upload brand partnerships and sponsored content more easily with the “Collaborations” tool.

Instagram, a competitor social networking platform, already has a function like this. Since 2021, users have been able to co-author posts. While the functionality isn’t available yet, app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi was the first to notice it. Paluzzi has been providing updates on how the partnerships feature works on a regular basis. This comes after he initially discovered the initiative in December of last year.

The software developer released a Twitter dialogue box that appeared to have been hacked, describing how users may send a co-authored message.

Users may ask other accounts to cooperate with them on a tweet, according to Alessandro Paluzzi’s screenshot. The account must have been following the user. The tweet will be published once it has been accepted, and they will be listed as co-authors and the tweet will be shared with their followers.

Also, in the top left of the message, both avatars from both accounts will be shown. Hopefully, there is a technique in place to prevent prominent accounts from receiving requests to co-author with spam accounts on a regular basis. There is presently no news on when the “Collaborations” feature will be available on Twitter, or even whether it will make it through the development stage. Given that at least one of Twitter’s competitors already has such a function, Twitter may follow suit.
