WhatsApp Has Now Added The Ability To Share Files Up To 2GB In size, As Well As Emoji Replies And Other Capabilities

WhatsApp has released several long-awaited features for its users

The messaging app was previously found working on iMessage-like emoji replies, but WhatsApp has now made the functionality official. Along with emoji replies, WhatsApp users may only share files up to 2GB in size. Users will also be able to add up to 512 members to a WhatsApp group.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg originally revealed the availability of emoji comments on WhatsApp on his Facebook page. Emoji replies were previously accessible on WhatsApp competitors Signal, Telecom, and iMessage. In reality, the emoji replies functionality is available on all Meta-owned messaging apps. For the longest period, WhatsApp has been working on the feature. Several times during beta testing, testers discovered the functionality of the app. According to WhatsApp, the functionality will be accessible in the most recent version of the messaging program.

WhatsApp has now added the ability to transmit files up to 2GB in size at a time within the app. End-to-end encryption will be used for the files. The old configuration only permitted users to transfer 100MB at a time, which was insufficient. With a higher limit, users would be able to transfer a large number of files and files at once. However, WhatsApp does advocate utilizing WiFi for bigger downloads. In a blog post, the messaging stated that it will display a counter while uploading or downloading to inform customers of how long the transfer will take.
