Huawei Nova 9 SE made official in Kenya: a mid-end phone profile for a contained price

Still, in a tense situation with the United States that prevents it from accessing Google services for its Android smartphones, Huawei is not discouraged and continues its adventure with its home ecosystem. Here in the country, the manufacturer has just introduced a new player to its mid-range category, the  Huawei Nova 9 SE  series. Let’s see what this smartphone is worth for less than KES40,000 appeals

The Nova 9 SE  plays the card of lightness and refinement with its weight of 191 grams and its thickness of 7.94 mm. Its screen diagonal meets the industry standards, namely 6.78 inches, all with curved edges that add that little touch of immersion when watching content.

Its screen benefits from an FHD + definition of 1,080×2,388 pixels. For this particular option, Huawei decided to utilize LCD technology. Fans of fluidity will appreciate the 90 Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 270Hz.

Regarding the photo, the Huawei Nova 9 opts for a quadruple sensor of which here is the configuration :

  • AI-108 MP, f/1.9, (wide), 1/1.52″, 0.7µm
  • ultrawide-8 MP, f/2.2, 112˚
  • macro-2 MP, f/2.4
  • depth -2 MP, f/2.4

This rear module is complemented by a 16 MP, f/2.2, 22mm front camera that should delight selfie aficionados. The smartphone takes shots at 1080p@30fps in dual View mode on the video part. For the ultra-wide-angle sensor, an optical distortion correction is on the day’s menu, as is stabilization in selfie video headed by artificial intelligence. This is what the company calls the Smart AIS.

The phone is based on the EMUI 12 software interface, which runs on Android with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) such as Petal Search or the AppGallery. Therefore, this system is inspired by Harmony OS and is like a taste of its OS.

On the processor side, the choice of a Snapdragon 6 series makes a slight stain for a phone that wants to rub shoulders with the best. The Snapdragon 680 probably has no significant flaws, but it remains behind the Snapdragon 888 and other predecessors that deliver necessarily higher power.

On the other hand, Huawei has put the package on recharging: the 66 W SuperCharge will restore 100% of the battery in 38 minutes, we promise. However, no information on the battery capacity has been communicated.
