The Infinix HOT 12 Series launches in Kenya.

Infinix Mobile’s HOT 12 smartphone has been launched in the country. During this year’s Tech Week, the company formally launched the device in Kenya at the University of Nairobi, an event where students may showcase their innovative ideas through projects and exhibitions they are working on.

The event, which began in 2018, is now hosted by 20 universities around the country, with this year’s event taking place at the University of Nairobi.

The winners received cash prizes of up to Ksh 50,000 from Infinix as well as brand new Hot 12 Play Series phones, which were officially launched at the event.

The Hot 12 series is available in three variants: HOT 12 Play 64+4 that the company is selling at Ksh 16,499, HOT 12 Play 128+4 which is available for Ksh 18,499 and the HOT 12 128+4 selling for Ksh 19,999.

The Infinix HOT 12 series comes with a 6.82-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate coupled with the 180Hz Touch sampling rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor.

The Infinix HOT 12 features a massive 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Infinix claims the 18W fast charging can charge this phone up to 50% in just 50 minutes.

For the optics, the HOT 12 is equipped with an 8MP AI front camera, 13MP AI triple rear camera, and a powerful image algorithm. Infinix says the HOT 12 provides an AI portrait that enhances the focus of every snapshot in the best way possible.

The phone has a memory and RAM configuration of 128GB+6GB. Infinix’s self-developed RAM fusion technology also enables HOT 12 phones to support up to 11GB of combined RAM, increasing the number of background cached programs from three to nine and reducing the average launch time of TOP20 applications by 10%- 50%. 

The phones will be available in Infinix outlets across the country soon.
