Although the epidemic is not yet gone, its severity has decreased in various regions of the world.

Many offices throughout the world reopened for their staff with fewer instances and a lower risk of infection. Some large organizations, such as Apple and Google, only require a few permanent staff, whilst tiny offices continue to operate as before the epidemic. Tesla is the latest corporation to request that its staff return to work. Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, has sent out company-wide emails mentioning this.

Musk’s emails to Tesla employees were intended to be private since they included corporate information, but the nature of these communications is certain to make many employees unhappy. As a result of the disclosure, these emails are now available on the internet. “Remote work is no longer allowed,” Musk wrote in the first email’s subject line. The email body has various restrictions, including working for a minimum of 40 hours in the office, but if an employee is unable to satisfy that demand, Musk has advised them to “depart Tesla.”

Musk emailed two times.

He explained the order and then a few stipulations under which some employees would be permitted to work remotely in the first one. Musk further justified his demands by citing the tight schedules of Tesla production workers. Then, in the second email, Musk stated that employees should come to Tesla’s offices rather than any other work for the sake of working from one. He also stated that top personnel should be more visible than the others, citing his own experience of “living in the plant so much.”
