Instagram reels have been increased to 90 seconds.

Instagram, which is owned by Meta, is having trouble sleeping, so the massive picture and video sharing site is taking a leaf from TikTok and upping the duration restriction for Reels.

The duration restriction on TikTok was recently expanded, with additional options ranging from 60 seconds to 5 minutes to 10 minutes. Instagram is following after and will soon allow you to submit Reels of up to 90 seconds – it’s not as revolutionary as its competitor, but it’s still a good addition for video makers.

Stickers

To make Reels more engaging, Instagram is introducing several elements from Stories, such as Stickers. Polls and the Emoji Slider are two stickers that may be used to interact with the Reels.

Easy mode is being rolled out with new themes on Instagram. You’ll be able to match your video with music this way. When you make a Reel, you’ll be given placeholders to fill in with your video.
