Instagram Will Soon Be Giving Users More Control When It Comes To Sensitive Content

Instagram will soon be giving users more control when it comes to sensitive content.

Instagram, which is owned by Meta, is expanding its Sensitive Information Control tool, allowing users to limit the amount of sensitive content and profiles they view on the network. Sensitive Content Control, according to the platform, will apply to all surfaces where we offer suggestions.

“In addition to Explore, you will now be able to control the amount of sensitive content and accounts you see in Search, Reels, Accounts You Might Follow, Hashtag Pages and In-Feed Recommendations,” Instagram said in a blog post. “With this update, we are also applying the technology we use to enforce our Recommendation Guidelines to Instagram’s recommendations on Search and Hashtag pages,” it added.

In the next weeks, everyone will have access to this update.

The business has renamed the Sensitive Content Control’s three options from when it initially released the control to further understand what each option performs.
