Dell has aannounced its First ever gaming laptop with a 16:10 aspect ratio

 Dell has introduced a new display ratio in the gaming laptop industry dubbed as G16. The new Laptop from dell takes a 16″ screen with a 16:10 ratio and a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. Additionally, it is G-Sync compliant and boasts a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and 300 nits of brightness thus the G16 can use 11% more display real estate than the G15.

Under the hood, the announced Machine includes a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, up to 16 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, and an Intel Core i7 12700H CPU with 14 cores and a maximum clock speed of 4.70 GHz and 20 threads. The G16 has a 2 TB maximum storage capacity.

There are three possibilities for the graphics card: the RTX 3050 Ti is available in the base model, but depending on the requirements, you may also choose an RTX 3060 Ti or an RTX 3070 Ti. Contrary to variants with an RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 Ti, the base model lacks a Thunderbolt 4 connector. For the rest, we find in all cases an HDMI 2.1 port, three USB-A ports, a jack and an Ethernet port.

Depending on the choice of model, the battery will also change, offering either 56 WHr or 86 WHr. Similarly, there are three options regarding the keyboard. On the basic model, it will have a single RGB zone. The second option offers RGB lighting per key, while the last option also allows you to integrate CherryMX switches for better typing accuracy.

The G16  with RTX 3050 Ti, 8 GB of RAM, no Thunderbolt 4, a 56 WHr battery and a keyboard with a uni RGB lighting displayed at 1,400 euros.
