Apple is upgrading its outdated iPhones and iPads

A new security update has been handed out for older Apple devices, namely, those unable to upgrade to iOS 13 when it was introduced.

The newly released iOS 12.5.6 update affects the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPad Air, iPad Mini (2 and 3), and even the little sixth-generation iPod Touch.

A fresh patch resolves the CVE-2022-32893 vulnerability, which may potentially enable a malicious user to run untrusted code on the system.

Naturally, Apple advises that the update be applied by everyone involved as soon as possible, stating that “the flaw might have been aggressively exploited.”

It should be remembered that iOS 12 has not received an upgrade in less than a year, and the mobile operating system was initially released in 2018 with version 12.5.5.
