The beta version of iOS 16.1 is now available: Here are the New Features Coming

Apple is set to release the first significant upgrade to the iPhone operating system even though iOS 16 has only been available for a short while.

Apple has recently made the first beta of iOS 16.1 available to those signed up for its different trial programs. Many features advertised by Apple that is finally missing from the final version released this Monday, September 12th, accompany this first significant upgrade.

The new battery indicator, one of the most noticeable new features, debuts on the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini. It is undoubtedly the most eagerly anticipated by owners of previous iPhone models. Unfortunately, with iOS 16, Apple has denied its consumer’s access to this new presentation for a very enigmatic reason that is still there today. In a few weeks, the problem will be resolved.

Another innovation included in version 1 is one that first seems incidental: the ability to remove Cards, previously known as Wallet. However, this choice is likely more of a courtesy extended to the numerous authorities now looking into Apple’s methods for accepting mobile payments.

The brand will surely use the ability to withdraw Cards to defend against claims that Apple Pay has a monopoly. Additionally, this updated version supports Matter-linked accessories. After many delays, the home automation protocol will finally be unveiled at the end of the year, and iPhones will be compatible with it immediately.
