Windows 11 22H2: Microsoft is still updating its task manager

Although he had not honestly changed in recent years, the switch to Windows 11 22H2 allowed Microsoft to redesign its task manager to boost system speed and marginally cut down on energy usage. In a final upgrade, Microsoft also makes additional adjustments to the tool’s functionality and visual appeal.

Microsoft’s task manager, which is a part of the Windows operating system, is still the go-to resource for learning instantly (through the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Maj + Esc) how much each program uses the CPU, physical memory (RAM), bandwidth (Wi-Fi), and the hard drive. It is also a wonderful technique to make software, game or other operation that might crash abruptly.

The task manager has entered a redesign phase that currently gives him a touch of contemporary with the release of the 22H2 version of Windows 11, which has been accessible since the end of September.

Introducing an “Efficiency” mode, which limits the resources utilized by the targeted program, is the task manager’s key innovation. It only takes selecting and holding down this or that program from the manager (or right-clicking your mouse) to gain access.

Therefore, Microsoft is happy that process filtering has arrived. The ability to search for specific processes using the binary name, editor name, or PID (Process ID) from the search box is a feature that people frequently claim to have.

The system then establishes a connection between the user’s keyword input and all potential matches, displaying them on the manager’s current page. Here, Microsoft gives us an example of a “notepad” query. Remember that this filtering continues when you navigate from one page to another.

Additionally, Microsoft promises enhanced support for themes, a function that occasionally had issues when Windows 11 22H2 was first launched. Even if Windows’ active theme is different, the most recent version now enables you to utilize the task manager’s dark mode (a clear theme or theme of the system’s parameters). The task manager’s parameters can be used to configure the dark mode directly.

A new dialog box has been added to the Efficiency mode, enhancing it. Users will thus be given the option to check the “Do not ask me” box (formerly “Don’t ask me again”), which will prevent you from seeing the dialog box appear at each switch from an application to the Efficiency mode if you choose to do so.
