Elon Musk Affirms That The Twitter Blue Subscription Will Restart On November 29th

It appears that, despite all the difficulties he had during the initial rollout, Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk, is committed to launching the Twitter Blue membership service.

The news comes a few days after Twitter stopped promoting Blue membership on the microblogging service after pranksters and impostors caused chaos in the system. Anyone who is willing to pay the $8 monthly fee for a Twitter Blue subscription will have access to some exclusive features as well as the highly sought-after blue tick.

Elon Musk posted a message on Twitter.

“ I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter because that is what free speech means.”

Twitter has brought back the “Official” mark that distinguishes official accounts from impersonators, despite Musk’s failure to disclose the improvements the Blue Subscription will include. Musk has warned that changing the display name could result in the loss of the blue check mark, which is a precaution against scammers.

“With new release, changing your verified name will cause loss of checkmark until the name is confirmed by Twitter to meet Terms of Service,” he added.

You will receive a Blue Tick of verification and have priority in reach and display on Twitter if you subscribe to Twitter Blue. If you’re willing to pay $8 a month, you can get all of this.

The Twitter Blue disaster

The initial rollout of Twitter Blue was a complete failure. The impersonators were fast to mimic well-known people and deceive their followers. A basketball player mimicking LeBron James demanded a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers, a basketball franchise, on Twitter. The tweet’s blue tick caused many users to be duped, as was to be expected. The account was quickly suspended. On Twitter, a parody account of Jesus Christ also received a verification badge.

Another Twitter user similarly made a fictitious Nintendo account and shared a photo of Mario pointing his middle finger. The situation did not end there; on Twitter, bogus accounts of certain well-known politicians were also made. People couldn’t tell the difference between a parody account and the real one since the accounts were quick to modify the followers as blue ticks on the parody accounts. All of the phoney accounts on Twitter were quickly suspended.
