Stellantis to convert combustion engine vans into electric-powered with Qinomic

Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, Maserati, and Peugeot, has collaborated with Qinomic, a French high-tech mobility business, to develop a project aimed at converting internal combustion engine vans to electric ones.

“The retrofit solution aims to extend vehicle life and usage, ensuring sustainability and affordability at the same time,” said Qinomic in a statement.

This strategy is in line with Stellantis’ ambition of doubling the revenue of its recycling business to more than 2 billion euros ($2.1 billion) by 2030. One component of this ambition is to quadruple revenue from extended-life components and services.
