South Africa Hosts 2023 Inaugural Africa Digital Finance Summit

South Africa is set to host the first Africa Digital Finance Summit from the 24th to 26th of May 2023 at the Sandston convention center. The three-day event is themed: “The Future of Finance in Africa: Our
pathway to a new Africa.”
The Summit will incorporate a thought-leadership conference featuring governments, central banks across Africa, prominent executives representing global Fintech operators, start-ups, professionals and decision makers across the world in the financial, economic, technology, fintech and blockchain industry to deliberate and forge a pathway toward the future of finance in Africa.
The Summit will host over 70 keynote speakers well equipped and driven to provoke conversations on the future of finance in Africa from over 40 countries across the globe. Sponsoring the event, are over 30 partners and over 2500 attendees who have registered for the summit.
Coming at the backdrop of the Free Trade Agreement in Africa, this annual summit is spearheading the conversation of re-defining value exchange for Africans and encouraging them to leverage on decentralized Finance in their businesses and everyday transactions. Speaking at a Global Conference, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta said; “Africa is the last frontier of endless promise”; thus, this the summit aims to position Africa as the continent where innovative solutions in digital finance will be found and implemented successfully.
Speaking about the importance of Africa is at the forefront of the digital revolution, CEO and MD of Glasshouse PR Ms. Mary Njoki says, “This is a summit for bold, visionary leaders who are willing to disrupt as much as they are willing to create, who know what to give up as much as what they expect to gain. Africa’s rapid adaptation of digital solutions places the continent at the center of the digital finance discussion.”
“The digital space has decentralized so many services that can be accessed from anywhere and this is no different from the financial services. It means that from the comfort of our homes, and with the tap of a button, we can make transactions across the globe. As Africa arises, the continent is rapidly growing as a consumer of the digital economy and it is time to bring the
discussion to the continent,” said Ms. Njoki.
The ADFS will comprehensively address issues affecting financial technologies innovations in Africa, policies and legislations that will guarantee a sustainable conducive environment for the uptake of these technologies as well as the empowerment of current and successive generations, implementation of blockchain and related technologies across Africa, the future of Finance in Africa as well as how African governments and private the sector can leverage the convergence of various transformational
technologies in order to positively chart the trajectory of the socio-economic growth on the African continent.
