Nigerian proptech HouseAfrica secures $400K to revolutionize real estate transactions

HouseAfrica, a proptech startup that offers tools for real estate digitization and transparency has launched  Sytemap.com, a proptech platform intended to increase  trust and eradicate fraud in land and real estate transactions across Africa.

The startup also announced that it has raised $400,000 in funding from  African & international investors such as Future Africa, SSE Angel Network (SSEAN), ARM Labs, CV VC, Startupbootcamp Afritech, Niche Capital, Rebel Seed Capital, and others.

HouseAfrica founders, Mr. Nnamdi Uba and Ndifreke Ikpoku Iyinoluwa Aboyeji of Future Africa said: “HouseAfrica is helping to create and digitize private land registries. I always thought it was only the public land registries that were slow, inefficient and murky until I heard about the experience of a friend who had to pay two different sets of people to buy land within a private estate. “I’m super excited about how by helping private landowners and estates digitize their land records they can start to help create transparency and value that should hopefully soon inspire government land registries to follow suit.”

There are three suites available for Sytemap, including Sytemap for Estate Developers, Sytemap for Buyers, and Sytemap for Realtors. Although Sytemap for Realtors makes it easier for more individuals to become digital realtors with little effort, Sytemap for Customers makes it simpler for customers to buy and pay for land or houses with confidence and without worry of being scammed. Ndifreke “Endy” Ikpoku, COO and co-founder of HouseAfrica, claimed in a statement that one of the co-founders was cheated in a land purchase, which motivated the team to create this.

Already over 100 Real Estate companies have signed up for sytemap ,including major brands like AlphaMead, Leadway Properties, Bamboo to mention a few.
