Two Kenyan startups will be representing the country in the prestigious Regenerative Accelerator Programme launched by Bright Tide in London.
Bright Tide, is a London-based impact investor focusing on businesses addressing climate change and environmental challenges, initiated its regenerative farming accelerator in 2023. The aim is to support early-stage startups developing innovative solutions promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Regenerative farming involves practices to improve soil health and productivity while reducing environmental impact. Practices include cover cropping, composting, and rotational grazing, which enhance soil fertility, water quality, and biodiversity.
Faith Mwende, founder of Sea Ventures-Zuri Feeds, expressed her gratitude, stating, “I would like to appreciate Harry Wright, the CEO, for granting us the opportunity which had stiff competition from all over the world.”

Ole Blu Africa is also a startup that aims to empower coastal African communities by harnessing natural resources like the ocean.

Seaweed cultivation supports climate change mitigation, enhances ocean ecosystems, and fosters economic growth. Ole Blu strives to drive sustainability in the African coastline, benefitting local and national economies.”
The programme, spanning eight weeks, offers dedicated support, coaching, and collaboration for global regenerative farming ventures, along with access to networks, corporate partnerships, and investment funds. Applications were open from October 16 to December 22, 2023, with final interviews held between January 15 and 30, 2024.
The programme includes virtual sessions from March 18 to May 12, 2024, with in-person networking events scheduled between February 15 and March 15, 2024. It culminates in an exclusive pitching event in late May 2024, providing participating startups with opportunities to connect with buyers and scale up their operations with expert guidance and support.
