Samsung has opened pre-orders in Kenya for its latest foldable smartphone lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 with prices starting at KES 159,200.
The new foldables arrive with One UI 9, Samsung’s latest software experience, introducing new AI features, enhanced security, improved cross-platform compatibility and easier migration for users switching from iPhones.
Among the biggest additions is Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), a security architecture that creates encrypted, app-specific execution environments for AI-powered tasks running on the device. It works alongside Knox Vault, Samsung’s hardware-based security platform that protects cryptographic keys and authentication credentials from physical attacks.
Samsung has also introduced an AI Assistant Activity Dashboard, allowing users to view AI agents operating in the background and monitor the actions they perform. Users can jump directly to individual AI agents to review or revoke permissions, while a new Privacy Alerts feature sends notifications whenever a background application attempts to access sensitive permissions.
For users moving from Apple’s ecosystem, Samsung has upgraded Smart Switch, enabling wireless migration from an iPhone using a QR code. The tool now transfers passkeys, saved credentials, call history, accessibility settings and active eSIM profiles alongside existing data such as contacts and photos.
The company has also expanded Quick Share, enabling bi-directional wireless file sharing with Apple’s AirDrop to make transferring files between supported Galaxy and iOS devices more seamless.
To support AI-powered workflows, Samsung is bundling a six-month Google AI Pro subscription with the new foldables, giving users access to Google’s premium AI features and 5TB of cloud storage.
One UI 9 also introduces a centralized Warranty and Care Settings Hub, bringing together device diagnostics, warranty information, remote support and Samsung Care+ management in one place. Customers purchasing through Samsung.com and enrolling in a monthly Samsung Care+ plan will receive the first three months of accidental damage protection at no additional cost.

Pricing in Kenya
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at KES 271,000 for the 12GB/256GB model, KES 297,100 for the 12GB/512GB version and KES 349,300 for the 16GB/1TB model.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is priced at KES 243,900 for the 12GB/256GB variant, KES 270,000 for the 12GB/512GB model and KES 322,200 for the 16GB/1TB version.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 starts at KES 159,200 for the 12GB/256GB model and KES 185,300 for the 12GB/512GB version.
The new foldables are available in Graphite and Cream, with additional colour options including Violet Shadow, Lavender and Pink. Samsung.com customers will also have access to exclusive finishes including Green Shadow, Pistachio and Mint.
Pre-orders are now open in Kenya across all storage and memory configurations.
