Twenty-four Africa-based entrepreneurs are participating in the inaugural “eFounders Initiative,” co-spearheaded by Alibaba Business School and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The two-week course in Hangzhou, covering all things e-commerce is part of Jack Ma’s promise to help empower 1,000 entrepreneurs in developing countries over the next five years by making sure no one is left behind in the digital economy. The 24 were selected from more than 700 applicants.
