Co-creation Hub (CcHUB ) is launching the CcHUB Diaspora Challenge, an open innovation challenge intended to engage entrepreneurs, innovators and scientists from the diaspora communities across the UK to source scalable business solutions to social challenges in Africa and reverse brain drain for the good of Africa.

Set to launch on Saturday 6th May 2017 at the London Facebook office: 10 Brock Street, Kings Cross London NW1 3FG, the diaspora challenge aims to increase diaspora understanding and involvement in sourcing scalable business solutions addressing social challenges in Africa as well as facilitating diaspora engagement in development focused dialogues in order to close the value-action gap.

The diaspora challenge also aims to connect innovators, entrepreneurs and scientists with impact investors to come up with scientific and technological innovations which are important sources of new solutions in health, environmental and developmental challenges.

There are over 300,000 highly qualified Africans in the Diaspora, about 10% of which hold PhD’s and many of which are within STEM fields. It is therefore imperative to engage and work collaboratively for the purpose of development. With offices in Nigeria and the UK, CcHUB is dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity.
