Kenya’s Taz Technologies, the startup behind digital addressing solution, Mpost, has been selected among 10 African tech startups that each secured Sh1.7 million ($17,500) in funding, as well as access to partners and mentors.
The startup was the only one selected from Kenya to participate in the Startupbootcamp (SBC) AfriTech, a multi-corporate backed accelerator programme. The programme, which launched in 2010, scouts for top-tier tech startups to join the three-month accelerator. The three-month accelerator programme starts on August 13.
Other startups selected include, financial savings platform Akiba Digital, rewards app Brandbook Analytics, mobility-as-a-service platform Lüla, and micro-savings solution Prospa from South Africa, goal-based savings product Bankly Technologies, credit access startup CredPal and digital bank Kudimoney from Niger Ivory Coast, Ghana and Kenya are represented by MPost respectively.
